Kameo is a Scandinavian loan‑based crowdfunding platform founded in 2014 that lets private investors fund projects across Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Faced with strict financial regulations, BankID integration, cross‑border currencies, heavy traffic spikes and the need for a simple, compliant investor journey, Kameo needed a robust, flexible technology base that could handle complex workflows and sensitive personal data.

Using the Ibexa Content framework and bespoke development from partner ZWEBB, Kameo launched its first site in under five months and rolled out in Norway and Denmark soon after. The solution delivered LMS, KYC, tax reporting, deferred payments, multilingual content, a calculation engine and scalable performance — results included consistently oversubscribed loans (peaks of ~300,000 SEK invested per minute), average investor returns above 9% and rapid growth across markets.
