How vehicle inspection provider Opus Bilprovning used eZ to better manage content, improve site performance and increase online bookings

Opus Bilprovning, one of the leading vehicle inspection providers in Sweden (1.8 million inspections annually across 78 stations), relied on bilprovning.se to deliver timely, localized content and online bookings to more than 12,000 daily customers. As the company grew, its WordPress site and centralized editorial model couldn’t scale: editors couldn’t easily manage individual inspection stations and the site needed better performance and a simpler booking flow.

Working with Zwebb, Opus Bilprovning adopted eZ Publish Platform to redesign bilprovning.se and build Stationer, a responsive, location-based app fed from eZ’s content repository and APIs. The new site gives each “station chief” control to create and publish localized content, lets users book from the homepage, and—thanks to eZ, Symfony and caching (Varnish)—reduced average page load time to 0.44 seconds, improving navigation and generating more appointments.
