How Ibexa helped Haugenbok create a modern online book buying experience

Haugenbok, one of Norway’s largest online booksellers with roots online since 1996, found in a 2012 site review that slow load times, weak SEO and cluttered landing pages were hurting user experience and sales. To modernize the site and address UX, SEO and integration shortcomings, Haugenbok engaged Ibexa partner Keyteq and selected the Ibexa Experience platform for a full redesign and new CMS.

Using Ibexa, Keyteq rebuilt the storefront with improved organization (author, title, genre/sub-genre), categorical search and personalized recommendations, and integrated the CMS with its commerce solution and Visma ERP. The relaunch drove a 34% increase in site traffic and a 15% rise in book sales, while faster data flows improved pricing, discounts and overall operational efficiency.
