How eZ helped Haugenbok create a modern online book buying experience

Haugenbok, one of Norway’s largest online booksellers, identified in 2012 that its site suffered from long load times, weak SEO and cluttered landing pages. To modernize the look and feel, improve user experience and conversion rates, and integrate multiple external systems, Haugenbok partnered with Keyteq and migrated from a proprietary platform to eZ Publish, relaunching haugenbok.no in 2014.

The redesign combined eZ Publish with silver.eShop, Solr search, personalization and Visma ERP integration to deliver fast, responsive navigation, categorical search, personalized recommendations and streamlined data flows between systems. The results: site traffic up 34%, book sales up 15%, improved discoverability and operational efficiency — and recognition with the 2015 eZ Award for Best Website User Experience.
