Glasspockets.org is a digital service of Foundation Center, the leading authority on philanthropy, that promotes transparency by publishing foundation data and resources. The site’s outdated, flat‑HTML design made content hard to find, left editors dependent on IT for updates, and required manual transfers of Foundation Center’s database content—limiting editorial efficiency and user engagement.

Foundation Center worked with Beaconfire RedEngine to rebuild the site on eZ Publish, using eZ Flow for editor-controlled landing pages, responsive templates, and API integrations to automate data imports. The redesign saved about 120 developer hours, greatly reduced staff time for updates, improved time‑to‑publish, drove a sustained 30–50% increase in traffic, and earned a 2014 Webby nomination.
