Case Study: Observatory of the Bogotá - Cundinamarca Region becomes a reference for data-centric public-sector initiatives with Ibexa

A reference point for data-centric initiatives in the Colombia public sector

The Bogotá Chamber of Commerce created the Bogotá Economic and Social Observatory to track, analyze and communicate key social and economic trends across the Bogotá–Cundinamarca region. They needed a data-centric, mobile-friendly platform that could present complex datasets and rich editorial content, support a range of charting and visualization needs, and provide advanced users access to Open Data and GIS resources.

Built by Ibexa partner Aplyca on Ibexa Experience, the observatory combines interactive charts, highlighted figures, trend analysis and rich content in a single editable framework, giving editors flexible tools to shape how information is presented. The site now serves as a reference point for data-centric initiatives in Colombia’s public sector for its breadth of data and high-quality digital experience, and is part of the Chamber’s multi-site Ibexa installation.
