BAE Systems’ U.S. electronic systems division — a large, geographically dispersed unit with more than 10,000 employees and a history of mergers — needed a streamlined way to manage manufacturing execution and change across many sites and cultures. To address complex change management and unify shop-floor processes, BAE selected iBase-t’s MES/Quality solution (part of the iBase-t Digital Operations Suite/Solumina platform) to centralize execution, training, and process control.

iBase-t delivered a phased MES rollout with strong change-management support: role‑based training, “train‑the‑trainer” boot camps, lifeguard SMEs for go‑live, a centralized web portal, ERP integrations (serial number handling), ECO controls, and customer-facing route‑card reporting. The iBase-t implementation gave BAE Systems greater visibility, agility, and traceability — enabling manufacturing audits, improved part traceability, label printing from work orders, test‑equipment interfaces, and real‑time serial-level reporting for customers.
