SignChannel, an IAdea partner, set out to broaden digital signage adoption by offering an affordable, easy-to-deploy media player. To do that they leveraged the IAdea Wi‑Fi HD media player and rolled out a promotion selling the player for $149 when customers commit to a 2‑year contract.
IAdea supplied the hardware that made SignChannel’s record-setting $149 offer possible, effectively bringing a mobile‑phone style pricing model into the digital signage market. The campaign produced a headline “record‑setting” program for SignChannel, with the $149 price point (and two additional, even lower‑priced player options) demonstrating measurable downward pressure on entry cost and setting a precedent vendors like IAdea and software-as-a-service providers may follow.
