IAdea and Concierge Displays take room booking to the next level at Monash University’s new Learning & Teaching Building

Monash University needed a reliable way to manage bookings for more than 130 teaching and meeting rooms in its new Learning & Teaching Building, while integrating both Google Calendar and the campus’ Syllabus Plus timetabling system. IAdea partnered with concierge software provider Concierge Displays to supply 10-inch IAdea XDS-1078 room panels and the Concierge room‑booking solution, addressing the core requirement of real‑time calendar integration and intuitive in‑room booking.

IAdea’s XDS-1078 panels running Concierge software were integrated with Google Calendar and a custom Syllabus Plus API so room statuses update in seconds and are color‑coded for quick identification; the deployment also included Companion cloud analytics for remote monitoring and usage reporting. The IAdea solution covered 130+ rooms, enabled on‑the‑spot bookings from the panel or smartphone, sped up issue resolution on site, and delivered actionable occupancy and utilization data that Monash now uses to optimize space and improve return on investment.
