Dual-Display Signboards Help IAdea and Scala Win Record-setting Project

Scala faced the challenge of deploying a large-scale, cost-sensitive digital signage rollout that needed to serve viewers both up-close and at a distance across applications like point-of-sale, shelf-edge promotions and waiting-queue displays. Working with vendor IAdea and its Android-based digital signboards (models XDS-1060, XDS-1062 and XDS-1068), Scala sought a scalable solution that would lower hardware and licensing costs while meeting enterprise management needs via Scala Enterprise 10.2.

IAdea implemented a dual-display feature that lets a single XDS device play content on its built-in 10" LCD and simultaneously duplicate that content over HDMI to a second screen, with the feature delivered via firmware upgrade managed by Scala Enterprise. The IAdea solution halved hardware and license costs per screen and helped IAdea and Scala win a record-setting 7,500-unit project, demonstrating measurable cost savings and large-scale deployment capability.
