Bank Simpanan Nasional activates mobile token authentication for 600,000 users in one month with i-Sprint Innovations

Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), a financial institution, faced the challenge of enhancing security for its online banking services to meet regulatory requirements. The bank needed to implement a multi-factor authentication system for internet banking access and a mobile token-based authentication solution using OTP and push notifications. To address this, BSN partnered with vendor i-Sprint Innovations.

i-Sprint implemented its AccessMatrix Universal Authentication Server (UAS) solution for BSN. This provided a unified framework for multi-factor authentication, replacing less secure SMS OTPs with mobile token authentication. The results were significant, as the solution met all stringent regulatory requirements, fortified the bank's mobile apps against advanced threats, and streamlined the user experience. Most notably, the solution saw rapid adoption with 600,000 users activating mobile token authentication within just one month.
