A i-Sprint Innovations Case Study

Preview of the Bank Simpanan Nasional Case Study

Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) A Multi-Factor Authentication

Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN), a government-owned bank in Malaysia serving about 5 million customers through 390 branches, needed to strengthen security for digital banking and meet Central Bank regulatory requirements. To address the growing risk around online transactions and mobile banking, BSN partnered with i-Sprint Innovations and used its AccessMatrix™ Universal Authentication Server (UAS) and mobile security tools to introduce multi-factor authentication and replace less secure SMS OTP methods.

i-Sprint Innovations implemented AccessMatrix UAS, YESsafe Mobile Token SDK, and AppProtect+ to support OTP, push notifications, biometrics, and mobile app protection against runtime and malware threats. The result was a more secure and seamless authentication experience, with up to 600,000 users activating mobile token authentication within a month, while BSN improved compliance, reduced fraud risk, and increased customer trust in mobile banking.
