Melco Resorts & Entertainment faced significant communication challenges at its City of Dreams Sri Lanka casino. The complex layout created radio dead zones, traditional devices were disruptive to the upscale ambiance, and reliance on a single cellular network posed a risk to operations. To overcome this, they partnered with Hytera for a new communication solution.

Hytera implemented its HyTalk platform, deploying multi-mode PDC680 smart radios for security and P30 PoC radios for operations. This solution provided seamless 4G connectivity with DMR Direct Mode as a backup, eliminating dead zones and ensuring operational resilience. The results included enhanced situational awareness via a centralized dispatch console and discreet, guest-friendly communication, leading to faster response times and improved security across the casino floor.
