Dongwon Ready-Mix Concrete deploys 50 Hytera PNC380s for nationwide concrete delivery communications

Dongwon Ready-Mix Concrete (DWC), a supplier of ready-mix concrete in South Korea, faced communication challenges with its old analog radio system, which suffered from limited coverage, dead zones, and noise interference. This hindered efficient coordination between its dispatch offices, management teams, and hundreds of delivery drivers. To ensure timely deliveries and improve safety, DWC needed a new, reliable nationwide communication infrastructure and turned to vendor Hytera for a solution using its HyTalk PoC platform and GPS-enabled terminals.

Hytera implemented its LTE-based HyTalk Push-to-Talk over Cellular solution, supplying approximately 50 PNC380 handheld terminals and 30 MNC360 mobile radios for vehicles. This provided nationwide coverage over public cellular networks, enabling clear and reliable communication without range restrictions. The integrated GPS allowed for real-time vehicle tracking via the Smart Dispatch Plus system. The results included significantly improved operational efficiency, uninterrupted nationwide connection, and clearer voice transmission in high-noise environments, ensuring more timely and efficient concrete deliveries.
