A Hyrell Case Study
The Greater Richmond ARC is a nonprofit serving people with developmental disabilities across the lifespan, employing more than 400 staff across five locations and recruiting for roughly 300 positions. With just two HR professionals handling about 100 hires a year, ARC’s pre-Hyrell hiring process was manual, time-consuming and disorganized—reviewing, copying or scanning applications and delivering them to supervisors took hours and hurt the applicant experience and flow.
ARC implemented the Hyrell applicant tracking system, using features like Automatic Position Posting and Auto Refresh to streamline posting and screening. The ATS drastically reduced manual screening time, required minimal manager training, and boosted outreach—applications nearly doubled in the first year (1,518 to 3,190) and qualified hires increased—saving HR countless hours and improving recruitment results.
