Vhi Healthcare, Ireland’s largest health insurer, engaged HYPR to boost mobile app adoption and cut helpdesk costs tied to legacy password-based authentication. Vhi needed an easy, intuitive password-less experience for a broad customer base — including many senior citizens — while meeting the security team's requirement for true FIDO-certified, cross‑platform protection and support for older devices like the iPhone 5 that lack a Secure Enclave.

HYPR delivered Android and iOS SDKs and deployed a decentralized client, authentication server, FIDO-certified architecture and Advanced Device Protection to enable secure, password-less authentication across all devices and branded mobile interfaces. The HYPR solution (deployed to 100,000 users) eliminated a central password store, stopped credential-reuse attacks, increased mobile adoption, reduced password resets and customer service requests, and now sees thousands of password-less authentications daily.
