Quality Machine, a third-generation job shop and Hardox wear parts distributor, was facing a severe production standstill due to programming inefficiencies, poor cut quality, and a lack of support from their previous system's multiple manufacturers. This resulted in unacceptable cut quality, extended downtime, and the inability to perform simple tasks like cutting nametags, forcing them to use secondary processes like drilling for holes. They turned to vendor Hypertherm for a solution.

Hypertherm implemented a complete solution including the HPR400XD plasma system with True Hole technology, ProNest nesting software, an EDGE Pro CNC, and an ArcGlide THC. This, and drastically improved efficiency. The results for Quality Machine included a 33% increase in productivity, a 30% increase in consumable life, and significant material cost savings due to better utilization.
