Metalgusa, a steel service center in Southern Brazil, faced a challenge keeping up with growing customer demand using their two existing Hypertherm plasma cutting systems. They required a third system to increase their production capacity and maintain their high standards for on-time delivery and cut quality.

Hypertherm provided an XPR300 plasma system integrated with ProNest nesting software featuring PlateSaver and True Hole technologies. This solution allowed Metalgusa to fit more parts onto each steel plate, increasing material utilization and cut quality. The measurable results included an increase from 224 to 247 pieces per plate, a reduction in scrap, and the elimination of secondary hole rework, which significantly boosted profitability and productivity for the customer.
