Manufacturer saves time and money with ProNest & MRP Integration

Hypertherm's customer, TopTier, a leading supplier of palletizers based in Portland, Oregon, faced a challenge with its nesting process. Manually assigning part properties like quantity and material type in their CAD files was extremely time-consuming, taking a programmer up to half a day to complete for 20-30 sheets and preventing them from focusing on other critical tasks.

The solution was an integration between Hypertherm's ProNest CAD/CAM nesting software and TopTier's existing pc/MRP system. This allowed part data to be imported directly from the MRP into ProNest, eliminating the need for manual entry. This integration from Hypertherm delivered a massive 92% reduction in programming time, cutting a four-hour task down to just 20 minutes. This translated into significant cost savings and freed up the programmer to work on other valuable projects.
