Case Study: Anro achieves faster, cleaner bevel cuts with Hypertherm Powermax105 SYNC

A Hypertherm Case Study

Preview of the Anro Case Study

High performance cuts without heating the surface material

Anro, a major Spanish metallurgical company, faced challenges with its manual bevel cutting processes. The traditional methods of oxyfuel and angle grinding had significant limitations, including heating and weakening the metal, excessive dross, slow speeds, and operator safety risks from flammable gas and hand-arm vibration syndrome.

Hypertherm provided its Powermax105 SYNC plasma cutter. The solution featured RFID-enabled SmartSYNC torches and single-piece cartridge consumables for automatic setup and ease of use. This allowed Anro to produce faster, higher-quality bevel cuts without preheating the material, drastically reducing dross and operator effort. The results included a considerable increase in productivity and safety for the welder fitters. Hypertherm's technology also provided the benefits of streamlined inventory management and minimized downtime.
