M+ Museum delivers The Cabinet in 3 years with Hyperquake

The M+ Museum in Hong Kong partnered with Hyperquake to overcome cultural and language barriers and create a more inclusive, non-intimidating way for visitors to engage with contemporary art. The challenge was to design an experience that facilitated personal interpretation without prescribing what a visitor should think or feel, all while coordinating the complex project remotely during a global shutdown.

Hyperquake designed, engineered, and installed "The Cabinet," an immersive exhibit featuring a mechanical arm structure and a bespoke bilingual tablet application. Using Visual Thinking Strategies, the solution provided open-ended prompts to foster discussion. Hyperquake delivered the museum-grade experience on time, and it became a key part of the museum's interactive offering, successfully creating meaningful dialogue through art.
