Cleveland Museum of Art creates an interactive ArtLens Exhibition with Hyperquake and 100% CMS-updatable content

The Cleveland Museum of Art sought to move its visitors beyond passive viewing and help them actively explore what makes art meaningful. To achieve this, they partnered with vendor Hyperquake to reimagine their ArtLens Exhibition into an interactive and immersive digital gallery experience.

Hyperquake implemented a solution featuring full-body gesture, facial recognition, and gaze tracking interactivity within a 70-foot immersive projection environment. This sensor-based system, integrated with a mobile app, allowed artworks to respond to visitors' movements in real time, turning the experience into play. The result was a future-ready exhibition containing 16 multi-player games with over 1,000 artworks, all of which can be updated via a CMS, ensuring its long-term relevance.
