Brooklyn Museum creates a 5-minute immersive Monet experience with Hyperquake

The Brooklyn Museum faced the challenge of transforming the central rotunda for its Monet & Venice exhibition into more than just a lobby; they wanted an immersive prelude that would emotionally and conceptually prepare visitors for the artwork. To achieve this, they engaged the vendor Hyperquake to create a multisensory experience using immersive projection mapping and environmental design.

Hyperquake developed a 360-degree immersive environment featuring 24 feet of seamless projection-mapped walls, a five-minute atmospheric sequence, custom lighting, an original symphony, and a signature scent. This solution transported visitors to Venice, providing crucial context for Monet's work and deepening their connection to the art. The vendor's approach successfully contextualized over 100 artworks through immersive storytelling, making complex artistic concepts instantly more accessible to guests.
