When Hyperledger Sawtooth Met Kubernetes - Simplifying Enterprise Blockchain Adoption

Blockchain Technology Partners (BTP), founded in 2018, helps enterprises roll out and operate blockchain networks long term. Faced with the need to provide production-grade, maintainable distributed ledgers, BTP chose Hyperledger Sawtooth (from Hyperledger) and Kubernetes as the core open-source technologies to address deployment, scalability and operational continuity.

BTP implemented those technologies in Sextant, a blockchain management platform that delivers one‑click deployment of enterprise-grade Sawtooth networks on Kubernetes across cloud and on‑premises environments. Sextant launched in November 2018, is available on the AWS Marketplace with multi‑cloud support coming, and will add DAML smart contract support in July 2019—demonstrating how Hyperledger Sawtooth plus Kubernetes can simplify deployment, speed developer onboarding, and enable sustained, measurable production operations.
