Case Study: Splunk achieves unified observability and faster, more secure production with Hyperledger Fabric

A Hyperledger Case Study

Preview of the Splunk Case Study

Splunk correlates data across all datasets— including Hyperledger Fabric

Splunk faced the challenge of bringing distributed ledger data into a single observability platform so organizations could get to production faster, reduce time to resolution, and eliminate silos across clouds and consortiums. Working with Hyperledger—specifically Hyperledger Fabric—Splunk sought to ingest ledger blocks, transactions, chaincode events, metrics and private-data metadata alongside existing logs, metrics and traces to give customers full visibility without building bespoke tooling.

By leveraging Hyperledger Fabric as the enterprise DLT and building an open-source ingestion and correlation layer, Splunk enabled end-to-end monitoring, searchable audit trails and faster troubleshooting across infrastructure and business activity. The Hyperledger-backed solution helped customers (including S&P Global) secure and index transaction metadata, avoid custom development and extra headcount, and accelerate production readiness—supporting Splunk’s broad enterprise customer base (92 of the Fortune 100) with measurable gains in observability, security and operational efficiency.
