Managing the Metal and Mining Industry’s Supply Chain with Hyperledger Fabric

MineHub sought to transform the global mining and metals supply chain by creating a decentralized collaboration platform that could connect hundreds to thousands of companies, ensure privacy, and automate workflows to reduce cost and disruption. The core challenge was scalability and private data sharing across many unplanned relationships—needs that MineHub addressed by adopting Hyperledger technology, specifically Hyperledger Fabric (v2.2) features such as Private Data Collections to deliver secure, private access to data at scale.

Working with partners, MineHub implemented a KrypC-powered layer‑2 solution on Hyperledger Fabric 2.2 that leverages Private Data Collections, KrypCore APIs, and configurable smart contracts to enable secure, instant collaboration and dynamic onboarding without taking the network offline. The Hyperledger-based solution produced a working MVP in a short timeframe, delivered secure PDC storage for each client, enabled real‑time cross‑company workflows, and scaled to support diverse participants (including cost‑effective shared PDCs for smaller firms), positioning MineHub to expand into new markets and ESG use cases.
