Blockchain Technology Partners launches Sextant in 2018 with Hyperledger, adding AWS marketplace support and DAML integration in 2019

Blockchain Technology Partners (BTP) was founded to address the enterprise challenge of deploying, operating, and maintaining blockchain networks for the long term. Their goal was to simplify this complex process for businesses, ensuring these mission-critical distributed ledgers remain available indefinitely. To achieve this, BTP worked with the vendor Hyperledger and utilized its open source blockchain framework, Hyperledger Sawtooth.

Hyperledger's solution involved BTP integrating Hyperledger Sawtooth with Kubernetes to create their Sextant management platform. This integration radically simplified the development and deployment of blockchain applications. As a result, Sextant launched on the AWS marketplace with multi-cloud support planned, and it soon added integration for the DAML smart contract language, further enhancing its capabilities for developers.
