Three Lessons Learned from a Successful SoapBox

Anthem, the leading Blue Cross Blue Shield insurer in the United States, wanted a better way to hear employee feedback and surface actionable ideas. To meet that challenge it adopted Hypercontext’s SoapBox employee idea platform, targeting a 10,000-person community; in the six months after launch thousands of employees signed on and began contributing.

Hypercontext implemented SoapBox with trained SoapBox Leaders and Idea Partners, allowed the launch plan to evolve for better readiness, and encouraged active listening to surface recurring themes (for example, improving enterprise software training). The results: 2,456 users, 1,476 ideas, 18 completed ideas and a 41% adoption rate (beating the 30% target), demonstrating stronger employee engagement and tangible process improvements driven by Hypercontext’s solution.
