Bubbling Up Ideas and Engaging Employees

Coca‑Cola Canada faced a clear engagement gap: a 2011 survey showed many employees felt their feedback and ideas weren’t being heard. To build two‑way dialogue across 52 bottling facilities and about 6,200 front‑line associates, Coca‑Cola deployed Hypercontext’s SoapBox innovation platform to solicit ideas and involve workers in decision‑making.

Hypercontext’s SoapBox enabled scalable, cost‑effective engagement—within a year the platform collected about 630 ideas, 7,604 votes and ~494 comments; leaders responded to 97 ideas and put 57 into practice, with 80 ideas accepted/in progress or completed and 71% of accepted ideas implemented. Participation nearly tripled in year one, 59% of adopters actively contributed, and Coca‑Cola continues to integrate SoapBox into meetings and referral campaigns to drive further adoption and measurable business improvements.
