Modern idea management with an efficient software solution

Witt Group, a leading European textile mail-order company for the 50+ market with ~2,500 employees and part of the Otto Group, needed a modern way to capture and share employee ideas. A 2008 survey revealed employees wanted an easy, cross-departmental submission tool with a Web 2.0 look-and-feel, low access barriers and seamless intranet single sign-on to serve a diverse, partly digitally native workforce.

In 2009 Witt implemented HYPE’s idea-management platform, branded “Witti.dee” and fully integrated into the intranet, adding comments, voting, campaigns, gamified points, and quick “call-ups” for brainstorming. The program achieved high awareness, steady participation (6–8%), improved idea quality and a roughly 10% conversion rate, with numerous implemented ideas delivering cost savings, process acceleration and increased employee engagement.
