Edenred Scaling up Innovation and Breaking down the Silos

Edenred, the world leader in prepaid corporate services operating in 42 countries with 6,000 employees, faced fragmented, country-based silos that limited collaboration, visibility and consistent governance of innovation. The company needed a way to share good practices, build a balanced portfolio of strategic and radical initiatives, and ensure only the best concepts reached the market.

In June 2011 Edenred introduced HYPE’s innovation management platform, configured to mirror a phase‑gate process and serve as a global innovation pipeline. Rolled out from a pilot to all 42 countries, the platform made projects visible and reusable across markets—by 2014 261 projects were shared and about one‑third had been adopted in at least one other country—resulting in clearer governance, better prioritization, faster implementation and measurable growth from replicated concepts.
