Case Study: Yale New Haven Health achieves enterprise imaging data access with Hyland

A Hyland Case Study

Yale New Haven Health’s enterprise medical imaging strategy aggregates and manages distinct islands of data for better outcomes

Yale New Haven Health, a nonprofit health system, needed an enterprise medical imaging strategy to unify data across acquired hospitals and eliminate information silos so clinicians could access medical content more easily. Hyland’s Acuo VNA was used as the core architecture for the strategy to centralize imaging data from radiology, cardiology, radiation therapy, neurosciences, and other areas.

Hyland implemented Acuo VNA as the central ingestion point for all imaging data, enabling it to be exposed to Epic and other systems across the organization. The result was a more practical and efficient way to aggregate siloed data for physicians, supporting about 1.3 million imaging studies annually and improving access to critical clinical information systemwide.
