A Hyland Case Study
The University of Northern Colorado, a public university of about 12,000 students in Greeley, faced a paper‑heavy, inconsistent contract process that lacked visibility and control—staff didn’t know where contracts were in the workflow and duplicate work was common. To address compliance, risk and cost concerns, UNC needed a centralized, transparent way to manage contract requests, approvals and renewals.
UNC implemented OnBase by Hyland (integrated with Banner) to automate case management, forms, document composition and version control. Self‑service electronic forms, automated routing and notifications, a template/fragment library, and a calendar for expirations eliminated duplicate drafting, reduced paper use and improved oversight—allowing contracts to be completed in as little as 10 minutes, enhancing consistency, transparency and compliance across campus.
