A Hyland Case Study
Universal Forest Products (UFP), a wood and wood-products manufacturer with about 85 facilities across North America, struggled with scattered spreadsheets and aging databases that varied by site. Different requirements per plant made maintenance, upgrades and process changes a nightmare for process owners, and building new or updated applications often took six months to a year.
UFP adopted OnBase by Hyland as a no-code case management platform, building applications (SOX, capital expenditure, storm water, lease and customer management) on a single system that combines document management, forms, workflow automation and security. The result: consolidated data and a consistent interface, faster deployment (most apps built in two to three months), reduced reliance on developers, automatic task reminders and a 360-degree view of business processes.
