The largest university press in the world reaches new audience with digitized content

Oxford University Press, the largest university press in the world, needed a way to break down legacy content silos and improve collaboration across its globally dispersed editorial teams. Using Hyland’s Alfresco platform, OUP sought a global digital asset management (DAM) system to better support the full editorial cycle and make digitized content easier to manage and share.

Hyland implemented an integrated DAM built on Alfresco with strong security controls, centralized access, and advanced search across sites, projects, and folders. The solution improved asset discoverability, streamlined product design and delivery, and supported familiar workflows through integration with OUP’s existing publishing systems, helping the press work more efficiently and economically while reducing disruption.
