A Hyland Case Study
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts was looking for a low-stress path to the cloud and a way to replace slow, paper-heavy processes. Its online forms were static, forcing constituents to download PDFs, complete them manually, and return them by scan or mail, while internal approvals still relied on manual handling. Hyland helped the state address these challenges with its OnBase platform and managed services approach.
Hyland implemented dynamic forms and automated workflows so submissions now go directly into efficient processing. The Commonwealth of Massachusetts has since automated its internal procurement process, removed paper from the workflow, and expanded automation to back-end processes across agencies. The result has been major efficiency gains, along with reduced need for capital equipment and new administrator training for OnBase.
