Regional insurer cuts claims processing times from days to hours

Mutual of Enumclaw, a regional mutual insurer, faced an aging, minimally configurable legacy claims system that lacked analytics, automated workflows and reliable document management — and whose vendor was ending support. Manual FNOL and paper-driven processes caused long delays, misrouted work and difficulty allocating claims to the right adjuster.

MoE implemented Hyland OnBase to automate FNOL, enable bulk claim assignments and eliminate paper bottlenecks, cutting processing from days to about four hours. They then moved to Guidewire ClaimCenter integrated with OnBase, giving adjusters a single interface, better routing and pre-populated correspondence, improving response times, customer service and operational efficiency.
