Leggett & Platt implemented OnBase capture to automatically extract, validate and transfer invoice, remittance and check data to its ERP and mainframe, achieving ROI in under a year. The company saved $1.6 million annually ($1.5M AP labor + $100K AR), reduced AP staffing needs by more than 40%, cut cost per invoice by 69% (from $3.88 to $1.21), increased invoice throughput ~232% with no added staff, raised automatic payment application to 74%, and applied lockbox cash in about half a day instead of 3–4 days.
