Major Australian business expands role of Hyland’s content services solution to AP department, saving time and improving efficiency

A major Australian supplier of plumbing supplies with more than 8,000 employees and nationwide retail outlets faced growing back-office strain: an ageing content services system, manual-heavy Accounts Payable processes, and limited scalability and transparency that made invoice handling slow, costly and dependent on individual staff knowledge. The company needed a process-driven, scalable solution to manage over a million invoices a year and support procurement, logistics, HR and payroll documentation.

The organisation expanded its use of Hyland’s OnBase platform and added Hyland Brainware for Invoices, integrating both with its ERP to capture and validate invoice data, match records, automate approvals and schedule payments. The deployment cut invoice processing time and errors, freed AP staff to focus on accuracy and collaboration, improved supplier payment timeliness and supply-chain reliability, and is now being rolled out to New Zealand operations with a mobile app for remote access.
