Elixir Technologies, an IT service management company, needed a flexible document management foundation for its next-generation client communication software, Tango. After evaluating several open-source options, Elixir chose Hyland’s Alfresco platform to provide the enterprise content management capabilities and technical stability required for the project.

Hyland helped Elixir embed Alfresco into Tango through an OEM partnership and API-based integration, allowing Elixir’s own team to complete the work in a few months using existing Java and XML skills. With Hyland, Elixir added document and image management, a content repository, and web content management, enabling tighter content and version control, easier content access and management, and a modular offering that lets customers license only what they need.
