Serimax, an international full-service welding company, needed a better way to keep engineering and welding knowledge up to date and easy to access as the business grew and teams worked in locations with limited or no connectivity. To solve this, Serimax worked with Hyland to build a knowledge management application using Nuxeo Document Management, including an offline client mode.

Hyland helped Serimax create a centralized, permission-based document repository that worked both online and offline, with workflows, collaboration tools, and document validation features. The solution reduced duplication and silos, improved access to technical content for offshore and field teams, and met Serimax’s goals for a flexible open-source platform that could evolve without vendor lock-in.
