Noridian Healthcare Solutions, a Medicare payer based in Fargo serving millions of beneficiaries and hundreds of thousands of providers, was hampered by paper-based workflows that slowed processing, risked HIPAA/CMS compliance, and made multi-office collaboration difficult. The organization needed a secure, integrable, and configurable system to speed responses and simplify compliance across departments.

Working with Databank, Noridian implemented Hyland’s OnBase to centralize records, automate 20 key processes and provide e-forms and workflow tools for 1,000+ users. The solution routed faxes directly into the system, eliminated repetitive data entry, improved visibility and compliance, and sped training. Results included a 3‑FTE reduction in the Correspondence Unit, 400 labor hours saved per month in Claims Appeals (about $600,000 annual savings), faster response times and improved customer service.
