The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) needed a more efficient, enterprise-wide way to manage documents and support business partners across the agency. Working with Hyland and its Alfresco platform, the FAA set out to modernize its content management approach through a shared Enterprise Document Management Service (EDMS) that could scale across the organization.
Hyland implemented the Alfresco-powered EDMS with a focus on governance, standardization, and enterprise adoption. The FAA consolidated multiple vendor contracts into a single enterprise license agreement, reducing IT expenses and improving operational efficiency. The agency also onboarded its first customer in just two days and created a holistic cost model to support financial and budget planning, delivering faster implementation and measurable cost savings.
