A Hyland Case Study
Australian Insurance Company partnered with Hyland to digitize and manage millions of documents using Hyland’s Alfresco platform. The insurer needed a better way to store, search, and preserve vast amounts of paperwork while reducing physical storage costs and supporting business continuity, especially as remote work became necessary.
Hyland implemented Alfresco as a central document management platform, enabling searchable electronic storage, automated retention policies, and easy access to historical records. The results were significant: more than 100 million documents are now stored and instantly searchable, storage costs dropped sharply, and document retrieval time fell from 10–15 minutes to about two seconds. Hyland also helped the company scale to around 5,000 users and integrate with 12 to 14 other business tools.
