Case Study: Orange achieves secure, high-volume document sharing with Hyland

French mobile telecommunications and broadband internet provider manages communication through a secure extranet portal built on the Nuxeo Platform

Orange, the French mobile telecommunications and broadband internet provider, needed a secure enterprise document-sharing system that could handle large volumes of files for internal teams and external clients. Using Hyland’s Nuxeo Platform, Orange had to manage different access rights for multiple user groups while avoiding performance issues in its legacy Documentum-based setup.

Hyland implemented a drag-and-drop import workflow with a per-user “drop box,” followed by a publication step to make documents available to external clients. The solution delivered fine-grained security and access control, eliminated transaction and performance problems, and enabled smoother handling of large document volumes. Orange reported very positive feedback, easier user adoption, higher productivity, and improved customer satisfaction.
