Dutch government improves document and case management system with Hyland's Alfresco platform

DICTU, one of the largest IT service providers to the Dutch government, needed to replace a patchwork of proprietary systems with a more standardized and efficient document and case management platform. In partnership with Hyland, DICTU used Hyland’s Alfresco platform as part of the RijksZaak solution to support government case handling, records management, document storage, and compliance.

Hyland helped DICTU implement a flexible platform with customer-specific workflows that could be delivered much faster and at lower cost than a custom-built system. DICTU reported bringing six customers live in the past year and working on another 10, with plans to add at least 20 more in the next 24 months. Implementations now take about three to six months instead of two to three years for a proprietary solution, significantly improving speed and scalability.
