A Hyland Case Study
Dirección General de Tráfico (DGT), Spain’s traffic and road safety authority, needed to modernize its document management after years of being a fully paper-based organization. Managing millions of records, penalties, registrations and other proceedings had created traceability problems, higher archiving and labor costs, and a major challenge in moving to a more transparent, interoperable digital model. Hyland was involved in supporting this transformation with a paperless, electronic document management approach.
Hyland helped DGT implement an electronic document management system capable of handling paper, electronic and hybrid records across their full lifecycle, while also improving interoperability with other business applications. The solution simplified workflows and automation, and the shift to a paperless office delivered an estimated annual ROI of more than 2 million euros.
