A Hyland Case Study
Cracker Barrel Old Country Store, a retail chain with more than 600 locations and 70,000 employees, needed to expand its document imaging beyond accounts payable into an enterprise‑wide solution that was quick to implement and could surface business‑critical documents directly within line‑of‑business applications. The company wanted more than simple scanning — it needed automated indexing, seamless integrations, and easier employee access to reduce paper and speed processes.
Working with LBMC Technologies, Cracker Barrel implemented OnBase by Hyland, rolling it into HR first and then across AP and tax within months. OnBase automated HR workflows with barcode indexing, linked documents to employee files, and made files accessible by role; in AP it eliminated over 60,000 physical documents a month and integrated with Infor FMS Infinium; tax now imports COLD streams into searchable archives. The result: faster, more auditable processes, instant document access, reduced low‑value scanning work, and improved compliance and control.
