A Hyland Case Study
Construction Resources Management (CRM), a shared-services provider for a family of heavy‑highway construction companies headquartered in Waukesha, WI, processes more than 86,000 invoices a year across Midwest offices. Manual invoice routing and paper HR files led to coding errors, lost or delayed approvals, no tracking of due dates, and high mailing and seasonal data‑entry costs.
Working with Naviant, CRM implemented OnBase integrated with Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne to validate accounting codes, eliminate manual data entry, and automate hierarchical approvals with notifications, escalations and mobile approvals. The system also centralized HR documents for instant access — outcomes included faster, more visible invoice processing, avoided late fees, reduced AP costs (eliminating at least one seasonal position), and improved vendor service.
