A Hyland Case Study
Wiener Privatbank, a Vienna-based private bank serving global and multilingual clients, faced a slow, error-prone onboarding process driven by paper files and repetitive manual data entry. Customer applications required 15–20 documents pulled from some 180 templates, with clerks re-entering master data across forms and complex risk and compliance loops creating delays, high costs and limited transparency.
Implementing OnBase by Hyland (with local partner Artaker) created a central digital workflow that auto-generates documents from a single client master entry, uses barcodes to re-associate signed or scanned papers, and enforces risk-based approval flows integrated with the core banking system. The result: streamlined filing, automated approvals, clear status visibility, reduced errors and manual overrides, and faster, more compliant onboarding—laying the groundwork for ongoing risk-review automation.
